India is on precautionary lockdown for 21 days amid the fight against COVID-19. The much-appreciated lockdown bearly harms the people with resources but this lockdown has serious side-effects on the vulnerable communities and daily wages earners who fail to possess the required documents to avail the government scheme. I appreciate much of your contribution to PM CARE Fund but would like to bring it in your notice that the utilization of that fund is largely restricted to people possessing legal documents whereas this crowdfunding helps the people who fails to possess legal documents. 

To give back to the society I and my extended family in my locality has pledged to provide food for slums in Musheerabad, Hyderabad. The city with a dense population has a lot of people working on daily wages mostly rickshaw pullers and daily wage labourers doing small odd jobs. Seeing the condition of the city after a few days of lockdown we have decided to provide food to these people and help them to the extent we can. Your kind support and small donation may help a person to sleep well-fed.

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected over 180 countries globally and is particularly challenging for India because of its population density and stressed public health systems. Experts agree that the best way of dealing with this crisis is through preventative measures, like social distancing, quarantining probable cases and following good personal hygiene. But as we go through these testing times in our homes, grateful for access to basic amenities, daily necessities and regular income, there are those who are not so fortunate.

Daily wage labourers, taxi drivers, house helps, sanitation workers, medical workers, health professionals and thousands of others are at a huge risk of contracting Covid-19, with possibly grave consequences. For them, every day has been a struggle due to income instability, lack of access to preventative measures and working to screen and treat affected people.
