Rinki and Ashok were leading a happy family life with their child. Their happiness knew no bounds when they found out they were going to become parents for the second time.

In October 2020, they welcomed their second child into the world and were elated to have their baby boy. But their joy was short-lived as things started to take a turn for the worse. They noticed their baby wasn’t breathing properly.

“We were extremely worried and rushed to the hospital right after. The doctors ran a few tests, and then we had our answer.”, grieved the father.

Nothing in the world could have prepared the parents for what came next.

A week ago, their baby was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease. Little Yuvraj’s heart is not able to keep up with the body’s demands and as a result, is shutting down.

“We had never thought that our baby would ever face something like this. He is so small and delicate,” the mother broke down.

The family’s spirit was destroyed as their whole world came crashing down.

Their days are spent in fervent prayer that by some miracle their child gets treated and is cured.

The doctors have stated that an open heart surgery is Yuvraj’s only hope now. The cost of the surgery has been estimated at Rs 5 lakh ($ 6719.13). 

The financial costs of the operation were another devastating blow to the family and their already rock-bottom chances of being able to save their son.

Ashok works as a helper and earns a mere Rs 10,000 a month. There’s been a few months where the family has had to borrow money in order to survive their daily expenses.

It’s simply impossible for him to afford such a huge amount and support the treatment of his son.

“I have no more sources of income and nobody I can beg for a loan," Ashok added, filled with heartache.

The parents have spent multiple nights crying and grieving, looking at their child prodded with needles and tubes.

They have exhausted all their savings on their child’s diagnosis and tests and have no way to pay for the surgery. Only your kindness can give them any ray of hope now.

“Please help us save our child. Help us save my Yuvraj from a fate so cruel, no child should have to endure. Please help us save his smile, I beg of you as a mother,” Rinki cried on.
